WARSAW, Poland, Aug. 5 -- NextiraOne Poland has signed a contract with Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park in Katowice to design and build the Euro-Centrum’s new data centre. The agreement is part of the project entitled: "The Creation of a Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park - development and application of new technologies in the area of energy conservation and renewable energy sources." The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme and was won by NextiraOne under a competitive tender procedure.

"The aim of our investment is to develop the technical infrastructure of the Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park in Katowice and to create the first laboratories for the development of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources in the Silesia region," said Mirosław Bobrzyński, Vice-President of the Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park in Katowice. "A key element of our project is to create the necessary conditions for the location and development of high technology companies which can benefit from the potential of the business and scientific environments that meet here. The newly established passive building will therefore house the Data Centre as well as the laboratories and technology rooms. We chose NextiraOne because the company’s bid proposal best meets the criteria set out in the tendering procedure. We believe that the experience of our partner in the comprehensive implementation of complex projects, including those funded by the EU, is a guarantee of high quality services," added Mirosław Bobrzyński.

NextiraOne will supply and implement a complete hardware and software platform for the operation of these and many other services. Under the agreement, NextiraOne experts will provide UPI components: electrical distribution, power generators, the UPS system, air conditioning with Free Cooling, gas fire suppression. Above all, it will also ensure that the monitoring and control system is integrated with the BMS.

"We welcome the opportunity to participate in the creation of such an innovative project in the Silesia region. The Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park will be a unique place where science meets business for the benefit of both. We are delighted to provide the extremely innovative data centre to help the Euro-Centrum to fulfill this vision and especially to offer a wide range of new IT services," said Marek Kobielski, CEO of NextiraOne Poland.
