Emerson Launches SmartRow Datacenter Solutions
Emerson Network Power has launched SmartRow solutions, an integrated infrastructure for datacenters to meet business continuity needs.
SmartRow is a simple, fully integrated row-based datacenter infrastructure. It supports up to 40 kW of IT equipment in a six-rack configuration with integrated power, cooling, infrastructure management and fire suppression.
According to the company, the solution is ideal for build outs of new or existing small and mid-sized data centers, remote data centers of larger enterprises requiring standardized infrastructure, standalone development environments, and standalone disaster recovery.
As per Emerson, SmartRow reduces annual energy costs up to 27 percent through high-efficiency power, dedicated cooling and management technologies and containment, saves up to 28 percent on room upgrades compared to up-fitting a room as a conventional datacenter, and ensures continuity of business operations with single system start-up.
Other features include up to 95 percent efficient rack mount UPS, temperature & humidity control, door sensor, beacon, water sensors, camera surveillance and motion sensor.
The company is targeting SmartRow solutions for telecom, government, BFSI, education, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, media and entertainment, transportation and logistics verticals.
