GigaSpaces and HP Launch Cloudify Application Catalog
GigaSpaces Technologies, in collaboration with HP Public Cloud, today announced the launch of the Cloudify Application Catalog. Reminiscent of the recently launched Cloudify Player, the Cloudify Application Catalog enables hassle-free, single-click deployment of open source solutions on HP’s OpenStack-based public cloud. Together, HP Public Cloud and GigaSpaces provide a web service that makes the experience of testing and deploying even the most complex, multi-tier, big data applications, as simple as playing a video on YouTube.
OpenStack users now have a simple way to test their favorite open source frameworks or applications, such as MySQL, Cassandra, NodeJS, etc., on the OpenStack-based HP Public Cloud. The Cloudify Application Catalog eases the transition from trial to full production, providing a single tool for testing open source services as well as running them on their own cloud environment. HP Public Cloud users can use their existing account in production-style deployment at no additional cost.
Users have the opportunity to trial the app of their choice through a free 60-minute preview in which they deploy any number of applications on HP Public Cloud. After that demo, users may register for a 7-day free trial of the service, continuing their full access to the Catalog and its applications on HP Public Cloud during that period. At any point, the user may register with HP Public Cloud and connect their own environment to the Catalog running the trial. Users move smoothly into production, without needing to discard or replicate what they accomplished in the demo phase.
