Huawei FusionCube Certified to Run SAP HANA
Huawei today announced that Huawei Converged Infrastructure FusionCube, a highly converged cloud platform, has been certified to run the SAP HANA platform and is now available globally. This solution can help dramatically optimize the performance of enterprise applications when they run on the Huawei infrastructure.
At CeBIT 2013 in March in Hanover, Germany, Huawei released the single-node RH5885 certified to run SAP HANA. Based on the leading converged infrastructure for software and hardware, Huawei FusionCube fully integrates computing, storage and network equipment, and combines the distributed storage engine, visualized platform and cloud management software. Huawei FusionCube for SAP HANA can offer high-speed read and write operations, and has excellent capabilities in linear expansion. All FusionCube users can have one-stop delivery and easy installation with fast deployment, can flexibly extend applications on demand and can benefit from simple system operation and maintenance.
The recent TPC-H test that Huawei conducted on FusionCube running SAP Sybase IQ software created a new world record. As a benchmark for Business Intelligence and Decision-making Support System, the TPC-H test simulated various operations of a real business decision-making support system. By integrating the server, storage and network capabilities with the distributed infrastructure, FusionCube can break the transmission speed limit of existing data channels, enabling the applications of database types to overcome performance bottlenecks via the optimized FusionCube and high-performance of SAP Sybase IQ. Users benefit from the highest database cost-effectiveness. In this test, 64 Intel cores and PCI-e SSD FusionCube and SAP Sybase IQ V16SP2 yielded a result of 220,901.3QphH@1000GB, $2.80USD/QphH@1000GB.
