WiredTree Upgrades Servers

WiredTree announced a new range of upgrades to its dedicated server hosting plans. With changes across CPU, RAM, bandwidth and storage, customers can now get an even more reliable dedicated server, optimized for high performance.

"The hosting industry moves at an incredible speed," says Zac Cogswell, President of WiredTree. "Business owners and individuals need to embrace new trends and technologies on the web to remain competitive. In fact, the latest trends take advantage of new standards in dedicated servers. To help our customers grow their businesses and get the most from their dedicated server hosting, we need to constantly refine, improve, and update our dedicated server plans. Our latest upgrades give customers servers that remain at the forefront of stability and performance."

WiredTree custom builds every dedicated server in-house, using the highest quality SuperMicro components to deliver the highest standards in hosting. The new upgrades affect every major component of a server, maintaining the high quality WiredTree is known for.

Xeon E3 CPUs have been incrementally upgraded to Xeon E3v3, while Xeon E5 CPUs have been upgraded to Xeon E5v2. While this is a simple refresh, it ensures processor performance can support the overall server. In other areas, the upgrades have been far more dramatic. Most notably, default bandwidth and RAM allocations have been doubled to 20TB and 8GB respectively. As the two resources that play the most significant role in delivering service to large numbers of customers at once, these upgrades should have a noticeable impact on server performance and responsiveness. Finally, storage options now include Samsung solid-state drives (SSDs) and LSI RAID cards, while Intel SSDs have been upgraded to the latest S3500 series. As a result, the entire server can work at peak performance.
