Cloudera and H2O Partner

H2O today announced a partnership with Cloudera. Through this collaboration, companies that use Cloudera’s Enterprise editions can deploy H2O’s open source software on existing Hadoop clusters without the need for data transfers. Leveraging Cloudera’s leadership and expertise in open source and big data infrastructure, H2O will enable enterprises to perform big data analysis in-memory at speeds up to 100x faster than other predictive analytics providers as a result of being able to combine batch, interactive, and streaming jobs in the same application.

“Early customer traction at a number of insurance and media companies are paving the way for widespread adoption,” said SriSatish Ambati, CEO and co-founder of H2O. “H2O on Cloudera’s enterprise data hub (EDH) brings the predictive power of big data to data scientists using familiar interfaces of R, Scala, JavaScript, Java and Python.”

The key to H2O’s interactive performance is its fast in-memory parallel processing—never before have state-of-art algorithms been distributed at these speeds.

Cloudera users can take advantage of having a seamless workflow and unified management of predictive analytics within Cloudera Manager and Cloudera Navigator.
