Lustre User Group 2014 Agenda Announced

Open Scalable File Systems (OpenSFS) has announced the agenda for the 12thAnnual Lustre User Group (LUG) conference in Miami, Florida. LUG 2014 will provide sessions and panels led by the world’s leading developers, administrators, solution providers, and users of Lustre. Attendees will be able to actively participate in discussing new Lustre features and best practices, helping to build the future of Lustre.

“We expect this 12th annual LUG to have the largest attendance ever, but we are treating it like the very first. We’ve structured the event to allow more time for discussion and collaboration while maintaining an incredibly strong list of topics. This means LUG 2014 will be squarely focused on the community,” said Galen Shipman, OpenSFS Chairman. “Come to Miami and discuss the great advances Lustre has and will continue to make.”

LUG 2014 will be held on April 8-10 at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. The event will feature 29 sessions over two and a half days on topics including:

  • The inaugural Lustre Annual Report from OpenSFS examining the current status of Lustre in multiple vertical markets spanning the high performance computing, Big Data, and enterprise computing markets, including the drivers and barriers for future adoption.
  • Deep technical presentations from DataDirect Networks, Intel, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), NetApp,  Oakridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC),  TITECH (Japan), and Xyratex.
  • Wide range of technical poster sessions for easy access at any point during the event.

LUG 2014 would not be possible without the support of our Gold sponsors: Cray, DataDirect Networks, Intel, System Fabric Works, and Xyratex; and our Silver sponsors: Aeon Computing and Bull.

Registration for attending and sponsoring LUG 2014 is still open. The full event page, including Registration, the full Agenda, and details on location and lodging, can be found here: http://www.opensfs.org/lug14/
