CloudWeaver Announces GA Support for AWS
CloudWeaver today announced it has changed its name from Lyatiss, as well as beta support for Google Compute Engine (GCE) and general availability for Amazon Web Services (AWS). Using a new framework for managing applications, called Application Defined Infrastructure, CloudWeaver automatically discovers, abstracts and analyzes the infrastructure of an application (compute, network, storage) holistically, helping customers meet availability and performance SLAs for applications across cloud environments - while at the same time reducing costs for web scale IT.
“One of the biggest hurdles to deploying performance-sensitive applications in public clouds is the lack of visibility to granular, end-to-end traffic flows and latency,” said Paul Burns, president at Neovise. “CloudWeaver not only provides deep, holistic insight to performance between and within instances, it provides the guidance to resolve issues and optimize costs.”
As the only solution that intermediates between the application layer, and the underlying infrastructure, CloudWeaver gives users transparency into the network and systems of the public clouds applications run on. With its superior analytics, CloudWeaver enables users to optimize their cloud applications to meet performance and availability requirements proactively.
CloudWeaver caters to applications’ needs by accurately monitoring and analyzing inter-dependencies and application issues that occur within the public cloud. The solution aligns the entire collection of resources, creating an automated feedback loop that adapts to the dynamic needs of applications, so that any performance and availability problems can be immediately remediated before they impact operations.
“Application Defined Infrastructure changes the way people think about and manage their complex distributed application infrastructures in the cloud,” said Pascale Vicat-Blanc, cofounder and CEO at CloudWeaver. “Today, it’s almost impossible to understand inter-dependencies and latency issues between instances running in the shared public cloud. By providing an automated cloud analytics and optimization solution, like CloudWeaver, we are able to empower businesses to confidently run their enterprise applications in the cloud.”
CloudWeaver’s solution provides Web scale IT monitoring and analysis for both enterprises and service providers, and takes an application-centric approach to managing and optimizing application infrastructures in public clouds. The approach is based on a flow-aware management framework called Application Defined Infrastructure that prevents network and system issues, while at the same time reducing costs.
By enabling businesses to feel confident that their application will perform in the cloud as well as on premise, CloudWeaver:
- SIMPLIFIES the cloud by discovering and modeling the complex network of resources
- MONITORS the application flows and system metrics to identify and detect latencies
- ANALYZES infrastructure performance to make informed decisions in real-time
- OPTIMIZES resources to meet the needs of the changing application environment
