Silicon Mechanics will be honored at the awards ceremony, to be held at The Golf Club at Newcastle onThursday, July 17, 2014, in Newcastle, WA. The Eastside Fastest Growing Private Companies are automatically entered in the statewide 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies competition.
Silicon Mechanics is headed by Eva Cherry, an industry veteran with more than twenty years of executive management experience in technology and manufacturing. Ms. Cherry attributes the company’s remarkable growth trajectory to its unique customer experience, which offers value to customers from the first contact through every step of designing, delivering, and supporting the best technology solution to a customer’s problem.
“Customers expect that we will know their individual needs and personalize the experience they have with us,” said Ms. Cherry. “That experience is defined in terms of reliability, convenience, relevance, and responsiveness. We did not set out to be on a fastest-growing list, but we recognized that we were presented with an opportunity to scale and build upon the great foundation we had developed over several years. We felt that we owed it to ourselves and our customers to grow our business and increase value for customers and shareholders at the same time.”
Ms. Cherry has served as president and CEO of Silicon Mechanics since 2009. Under her guidance and leadership, the company underwent significant restructuring, experiencing substantial growth in 2011-2014. She has been recognized for her role in building a team of people that can meet the demands of a growing and constantly evolving company. According to Ms. Cherry, “Great people are an essential component in executing a great growth strategy. Our rate of growth is directly related to the rate at which we are able to attract the right people. Our culture is a key differentiator in that regard – a great place to work can attract and retain the very best.”
