Solix Joins the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program
Solix Technologies, Inc. has announced that it has partnered with Hortonworks to deliver an integrated Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution for the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP). The Solix Big Data Suite provides an ILM policy framework for Hadoop to manage the data lifecycle including ingestion, retention, archiving and retirement, ensuring security, compliance and control for low cost, bulk data storage on a petabyte scale.
The integration with HDP enables Solix to accelerate enterprise data management modernization with a unified platform for Enterprise Archiving, Enterprise Data Lake and analytics. Solix Big Data Suite enables the adoption of a new enterprise blueprint to manage exploding data growth with low cost and bulk storage, and provides an ILM continuum for business intelligence and enterprise analytics.
“Enterprise Hadoop is a cornerstone component of the modern data architecture and Hortonworks is empowering enterprises to create a data lake that will help generate critical data insights that drive business forward,” said John Kreisa, vice president of strategic marketing at Hortonworks. “Information Lifecycle Management helps manage data within Apache Hadoop, and we welcome Solix to the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program. Together, we’ll continue our efforts to strengthen Hadoop as an enterprise-ready data management platform.”
“The Hortonworks Data Platform offers a unified repository to archive, retire and warehouse structured and unstructured data into Apache Hadoop,” said Vikram Gaitonde, Vice President of Products, Solix Technologies. “Information Lifecycle Management is an essential capability to ensure governance, risk and compliance requirements are achieved.”
