The joint solution leverages Garland’s 10G, 40G and 100G network access technology and Big Switch’s Big Monitoring Fabric for high-performance data centers and mobile data networks. With the joint solution, the two companies are enabling operationally simple, highly scalable, and cost-effective monitoring for all network traffic.
Modern data centers are expanding at a rapid pace resulting in exponential growth in bandwidth and traffic, which has pushed up the demand for high-bandwidth monitoring infrastructure to 10G and 40G links and now extending to 100G. The need for 100G is increasingly being driven by the demand for data bandwidth in mobile and telco services, government and research agencies.
