Esperanto Technologies Appoints Nick Aretakis as VP of Sales and Marketing 

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.March 6, 2019 — Esperanto Technologies Inc., developer of high-performance, energy-efficient computing solutions for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications based on the open standard RISC-V instruction set architecture, has appointed Nick Aretakis as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In this capacity, Aretakis will drive Esperanto’s worldwide sales and business growth, developing and managing direct and channel sales, expanding customer relationships, ensuring solid service and support, and managing both customer-facing and technical marketing teams.

A high-growth technology company sales and marketing executive, Aretakis’ expertise includes sales, marketing and strategic partnerships, and building field sales and support teams to drive early adoption and proliferation, accelerating revenues and profit growth, as well as raising capital through private and public markets. His technology experience spans semiconductors, computing, telecom, networking, internet, fiber optics, software (SaaS), FinTech, IoT and medical devices. Notably, Aretakis grew GlobeSpan’s annual revenue from $10 million to over $300 million in three years, $500 million post-merger; led sales growth at ESS Technology from pre-sales to over $250 million in three years; and has been a lead executive in two successful initial public offerings.

Prior to joining Esperanto, Aretakis was a business development VP at the Silicon Valley Executive Network, and an independent consultant serving hundreds of leading high technology companies. Earlier, he served as VP sales at Advanced Analogic Technology, Inc., VP sales and marketing at Conexant / GlobeSpan, VP sales for ESS Technology, director of sales at Media Vision, director of sales at SEEQ Technology, and marketing manager at Microchip Technology Inc. Aretakis received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia Engineering, and his BA in Mathematics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
