Supercomputing Frontiers Europe 2020 Conference Announced
Jan. 22, 2020 -- Supercomputing Frontiers Europe 2020 is a platform for the thought leaders from both academia and industry to interact and discuss the visionary ideas, the most important global trends and substantial innovations in supercomputing. This year the SCEF 2020 will take place in Warsaw, Poland, in March 23-26, 2020.
SCEF 2020 is the sixth edition of the annual conference which run in Singapore in 2015-2017 and subsequently in 2018-2019 in Warsaw, Poland. Tentatively the main topics at this edition will be computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics and metagenomics (microbiome, connectome, studies of brain); physics, astronomy and cosmology; new and exotic computer architectures (neuromorphic computing), quantum computing and communication and any topic that requires the scale and innovation in supercomputing.
"Each year we focus on somewhat different topics, but we always focus on ideas that are most innovative, ingenious and have potential to change the course of supercomputing," Dr. Marek Michalewicz, Director of Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling (ICM) says. "We also highlight research domains that might present the greatest potential of becoming the leading applications of supercomputers in the future"
CEF 2020 is an outstanding conference not only because of discussed topics but most of all because of its speakers. The following three keynote speakers will be presenting at CEF 2020:
University of California Los Angeles
Title: Emergent Atomic Switch Networks for Neuroarchitectonics
University of California San Diego
Title: Human Microbiome Project
Ziogas Alexandros Nikolaos, co-recipient of Gordon Bell Prize, ETH Zürich
Title: A Data-Centric Approach to Extreme-Scale Ab initio Dissipative Quantum Transport Simulations
