HPC + AI Wall Street 2023 Uncovers the Fastest IT on the Planet for FinServ Today
NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2023 -- Showcasing the fastest and smartest systems on the planet for financial services, HPC + AI Wall Street 2023 takes place tomorrow and Wednesday, featuring analysts, tech editors, and C-levels from TD Bank Group, Capital One, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Nvidia, Databricks, Ernst & Young, and more. The conference and trade show features innovations in advanced scale technology for FinTech and Capital Markets, and has been delivering innovative thought leadership and showcasing world-class technology from industry pioneers for 21 years.
The conference features two full days of critical discussions on our four key themes that will define the next decade of FinTech — Quantum Computing, High Performance Computing, Data Management, and Artificial Intelligence — with 20 hours of content delivered by 38 speakers. The CXL Forum will be co-located on Wednesday, September 27, featuring live demos and early adopter FSI end users. For 50 years, memory for high-performance financial services applications has remained non-composable, expensive, and scarce, but CXL technology is changing the FinServ datacenter landscape with a complete refresh of the memory tier.
HPC + AI Wall Street 2023 opens with an analyst outlook on the state of Quantum Computing, as analysts from IDC and Hyperion Research discuss Quantum funding, modalities, and installations. According to the Quantum Keynote, Phillip Farah, VP Sales, Industries and Strategic Relationships, IonQ, “The Quantum Age will be the next age of productivity on the journey of human progress.”
The HPC track features a unique panel of HPC cloud legends from JPMC, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and TD Bank sharing use cases and best practices, as well as a candid conversation between Google, Nvidia, Intel, and Supermicro on alternative resources during the current GPU Squeeze. “The GPU shortage is a major challenge for the HPC industry, but it’s also an opportunity for improvements,” said panelist Wyatt Gorman, Solutions Manager, HPC and AI Infrastructure, Google Cloud.
On Day Two, the Data Management track will cover data management challenges and the solutions landscape for GenAI, and TD Bank Group will present on ML/AI in the cloud. TD’s speaker, Distinguished Engineer, Infrastructure Technology Solutions Cloud Engineering Team, Dino Vitale, noted, “There are major challenges integrating AI into cloud-based AI/ML workloads in FinServ — ops, governance, guardrails, tooling.”
The afternoon kicks off with a keynote on AI Factories by Troy Kaster, Vice President of Generative AI at Penguin Solutions, who said, “There are new challenges for AI Factories at scale. We need to discuss how to avoid common mistakes when maximizing ROI.” After that, Capital One will speak about monitoring ML models in a financially regulated environment, and the conference will close with a session on responsible AI and building value while managing risks and regulations presented by EY (Ernst & Young) analytics leader Traci Gusher. Traci says, “Generative AI has exploded across industries, presenting implementation opportunities and challenges, and complicated by an ever-changing regulatory environment.”
HPC + AI Wall Street 2023 takes place Tuesday and Wednesday, September 26 and 27, from 8:30am-6pm at the Hotel InterContinental New York Times Square: 300 West 44th Street, just west of Eighth Avenue.
